Your privacy matters to us. This policy explains what personal data we collect, why, and what rights you have.

2. What data we process

• Files you upload: Processed only to perform the conversion. Deleted automatically (see section 4).
• Email address: Kun dersom du oppretter et betalt abonnement eller API-tilgang.
• Technical information: IP address and an anonymous cookie are used to manage usage limits (number of conversions per day).
• Payment information: Processed by our payment providers (Vipps, Stripe). We do not store card numbers or sensitive payment data.

3. Purpose and legal basis

We process data to: provide the conversion service, manage usage limits, process payments, and offer customer support. The legal basis is performance of a contract (GDPR Art. 6(1)(b)) and legitimate interest for basic operation and security.

4. Storage and deletion of files

We take privacy seriously:

• Original files you upload are deleted immediately after the conversion is complete.
• Converted files are available for download for a short time and are deleted automatically within 1 hour.
• We do not view, copy, or use the content of your files.

5. Third Parties

We share data only with providers necessary for operation:

• Payment providers (Vipps, Stripe) – to process payments.
• Server operations – the service runs on servers in Norway (UpCloud).

We never sell personal data to third parties, and we do not use your data for advertising.

6. Retention Period

Files are deleted as described in section 4. Account data (email) for subscribers is stored as long as the subscription is active and deleted upon cancellation, unless legally required retention (e.g. accounting law) requires otherwise.

7. Your rights

Under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), you have the right to:

• Access the data we hold about you
• Request correction or deletion of data
• Withdraw consent
• Lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority

8. Cookies

We use one necessary cookie to manage usage limits and sessions. We do not use cookies for tracking or advertising.

9. Changes

We may update this policy. Material changes will be announced on the website.
